CRAVING FOR MONEY.

Money is needed for almost everything and sometimes things you think do not need the influence of money to be viable turns out negating your initial thought.

Money is not just a medium for transactions, it is now a very important resource that is more or less a basic requirement for achieving most simple things.

Lets take breathing for instance, you do not need to pay money to breathe because air is not regulated therefore no charges. But the kind of air you breathe can be regulated by money. 

Yes the weight of your pocket can determine the quality of air you breathe.

Food, clothing, accommodation and other necessities are obviously influenced strongly by money. But why do we crave for money aside from the obvious, that is to live well. 

We are almost always driven by the monetary returns when we make most ventures. Yes money is good and a very necessary evil but why the constant craze for it.

In my personal crave, I had various reasons that seemed valid to me as I'm sure for others too who crave for money. I wanted something to call my own and I needed money to achieve that.

I was all for working for my own stash, my own sweat, my own toil. But I soon realized it was not that easy. 

There were no jobs to do after school to get this additional money and so I resorted to savings, I resorted to leaving a portion of my pocket money daily. 

Note that I didn't need the money for anything important. I just wanted something to call my own.

My big brother however had his own plans for my saved money. Whiles I was absent from the house, he had found my secret stash and was enjoying himself with my sacrifice. Can you imagine my rage when I found out?

I had been starving and denying myself sweets for nothing. I had nothing to show for my efforts except for some coins. During my high school days, I used to learn about ways of gaining additional income. 

I really didn't need money for anything specific but I was finding avenues to make money.

Now that I have started my first official job, I am still in my quest for additional income and I had to ask myself this pertinent question why am I craving for money?

To cater for my ‘needs’ or to get things everyone is accumulating to feel included? I really had no reason for this crave and upon talking to a few friends I realized we were almost alike.

Majority of us have no serious need for money except to save or invest for the future which is a different issue altogether. 

The need for things we’ve tagged normal have sent me on a quest for over nine years now only to realize I really didn’t need money like I thought I did.

Channeling this crave I have learnt about investment and the right way of going about it and avoiding crooks and fraudsters.

Money craving is not bad but what it causes you to do might be dangerous and harmful if not to yourself then others.
