Swinging on the Fence
Whatever comes after a firm yes or no, is evil. I came across a WhatsApp status that read as follows; We are all being used either by God or the devil. You cannot be in the middle. Who is using you? A whole lot of persons usually answer to questions and enquiries with a 'but' after saying yes or no depending on the question asked. The beatitudes of Matthew chapter five talks a lot about our conduct, relations with others and living to please God, living a fulfilling life that imitates God and showcases his perfectness. It emphasis on living honestly, shying away from evil and living exemplary lives, living perfectly as our God is a perfect God. And so when honesty is being put to the test, when truth is fighting to be established it is black or white. Positive or negative and so an emphatic yes or no is needed.
