Superficially In Depth

 

 

How many encounters have you had with opinionated individuals? Not to generalize but I’m sure you found their stance lacking substance. What was your exasperation quotient?

Generally, people with strong views are regarded to be well read, informed, professionals and authorities on the subject they speak or advocate for.

They are described as people characterized by conceited assertiveness and dogmatism and usually arrogant.

From the above, it can be noted that most opinionated people receive negative perception. And it is in this light that I write to inspire you today.

There are hundreds if not thousands of specific individuals who the above presents, they can be found in all spheres of society today. They wield such great influence. They have huge followings who blindly hero worship and adhere to their opinion.

Since our definition today says these opinions are shallow, who holds the in-depth information or opinion.

Yes, it’s the Lord who holds the world in his hands, created all things and so knows the ins and outs and holds the handbook and manual for its operation.

It is His opinion alone that counts. His opinions are known too, its simple and straight forward and does not change.

He is his word and so if he remains the same yesterday, today and forever trust that his thoughts and utterance made even before the beginning of time is still the same.

Who are his followers and what does he expect from them? What do celebrities expect from their followers and fans? 

Basically support; subscribe to the material they put out, share with others their material and be vigorous and inventive about it.

And note these are opinions that remain here on earth and will eventually fizzle and die with time.

But the thoughts, attitudes, views and sentiments of the Lord are indeed absolute, has been and will remain the same till eternity.

And so these ideas, beliefs, opinions, sentiments and views that flood our space in this dispensation will fade because in the light of the owner of the world it exists in, its shallow and superficial.

But they seem so in-depth and full of wisdom, superficially in- depth!

What cause are you advocating, what are you teaching others and people who look up to you, especially minors? Have you enriched yourself so that you are giving wisdom? Because you can’t give what you don’t have.

The strong can give strength, the weak has no strength to give. Study! To show thyself approved in all cases. To effectively be a follower of the Lord, you need not be shallow but full to the brim. 

So be vigorous and inventive with how you share your love for God with others.
